Spring Wild Camping With Wiltshire Man And The Jacklore Venison Stew

via IFTTT Its not every day you unexpedidly get a free pass from the Wife to go to the woods for the night, so when you do you need to grab it with both hands. In this video I go out to the wood for a wild camp with Sandy from the Wiltshire Man channel (AKA Sandy from Jacklore Knives) After getting a pass from the wife I contacted Sandy and we arrange to visit a small woodland for an overnighter in one of the permission Sandy has. Ground dwelling using the DD superlight Tarp, a Jerven Bag Thermo King Size and and eXped Down 7 sleeping mat to sleep in a woodland. We enjoyed a venison stew and a bottle of whiskey around the camp fire. Bushcraft Knifes - The Jacklore Classic Knife Build

via IFTTT In this video I spent time in with Sandy from Jacklore Knives aka The Wiltershire Man, in his workshop seeing the steps that it takes to build a bushcraft knife. Whilst at the workshop I filmed the making of the Jacklore Classic from O1 tool steel from start to finish. The knife itself is made from 3mm O1 tool steel, with a 28 degree scandi grind, heat treated and tripple tempted to 58 rockwell with walnut scales and the Jacklore Trinity mosaic pins. Please drop me a comment if you would like to know anything else about this bushcraft knife. Solo Overnight Bushcraft Camp Cooking Campfire Steak and Potatoes

In this video I spend the day filming for the Wilderness Pioneers channel before camping the night in the bushcraft shelter.
For a bushcraft dinner I use the campfire to cook a steak on the coals and some sweet potatoes under the camp fire, before sleeping in the natural bed in the primitive shelter with a wool blanket.

Bushcraft Tarp Setup In Under 60 Seconds

In this video I am in the woods setting up my DD Superlight Tarp for a night in the woods for a weekend of practicing bushcraft skills.

My bushcraft shelter setup is simple, a DD Super Light Tarp to sleep under, a Exped Downmat 7 Sleeping mat to sleep on and a Jervenbag Thermo King Size and Sleeping bag to sleep in.

I love getting into the woods and taking out my tarp to set up a shelter for the weekend, putting the tarp up becomes a ritual, from the order you peg out the corners to the knots you use to tie you ridge line to a tree.

Everything starts to become more homely when you have you spot picked. Its great to be back out at spring time, the tarp is opened up giving great 360 degree views of the woodland.

Once setup I like to sit in place for a while and watch the wildlife from the comfort of the bushcraft setup.

Let me know what you use in the woods for a weekend.

As always thank for watching.
