A huge thank to my good buddy @outofeden_bushcraft for sending me this package of goodies. It put a massive smile on my face especially when out of the package came a Marbles old fashioned matchsafe, something that has been on my wishlist for a long time, thanks buddy.👊 Also I have never tried a Mountain House freeze dried meal before so I look forward to trying that out for the the first time soon. 🍲 via Instagram http://ift.tt/2vrTJEh

After recently practicing making cordage from natural materials I thought I would test which is the strongest. To test this I have made 3 inches lengths of a each nettle, cedar, willow and bramble. Next to find the luggage scales to perform a strain test on each of the length. Any guess of which will be the strongest and weakest? via Instagram http://ift.tt/2sfXFEd

Not sure one of these would be required in the woods tonight or over the past few days in the UK. But it sure is pretty. via Instagram http://ift.tt/2rSsBZZ

I have a love hate relationship with cordage. Love to make it hate making loads of it. But it's something I plan to continue adding to over time. Ran out of willow bark, so moved on to making some cedar bark cordage and trying to make it a consistent thickness. Any tips? via Instagram http://ift.tt/2rJjsYt
